Yong Shuying was born in Dingshu Town, Yixing in 1960. In the early 1980s, she successively studied in Jiangsu Yixing Ceramic Industry School, majoring in ceramic design and the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, majoring in ceramic decoration design. Later, the state assigned her to work in Yixing Dingshu Town Ceramics Factory. She is a Researcher-level Senior Arts and Crafts Artist and a famous ceramic artist in Jiangsu , a painter, a member of the China Industrial Design Association, and now a professor at the College of Art and Design of Wuxi Universities.
For more than 30 years, she has been committed to the design, production and development of ceramic art. With years of accumulated artistic skills and calligraphy and painting foundation, she integrates design, decoration, production, sculpture, calligraphy and painting, and has created a series of purple sand pottery works. She is good at Grasp the characteristics of different ceramic materials to reflect the characteristics of the works. The works created are simple and sweet, with novel ideas, unique perspectives, fusion of traditions, modern interpretations, and the pursuit of uniqueness to become a personal network.
Her works have participated in domestic and foreign ceramic art exhibitions for more than 20 times and won gold, silver and bronze awards in national art competitions. Many works have been collected by provincial and national museums. Published in core publications and provincial magazines, and more than 20 works have obtained appearance patents.
